The Ketley salsa workshop is aimed at
beginners & improvers. However, it is also used by some
dancers for development purposes so they can practice
and/or learn in more depth various techniques which they
feel they need to work on. It is also ideal for those who
dance cuban but wish to learn cross body style salsa. The
workshop teaches footwork, timing, turns, spins &
simple partner turn patterns for LA style salsa. It
will take you to high level
improver & give
you the skills which will enable you to then confidently
attend the intermediate level class which runs on another
night! The emphasis for these sessions is on quality not
quantity, building a strong foundation which is essential
for this style of salsa as we want you become as good a
dancer as you can be. Therefore at first, the
emphasis is on
techniques & not turn patterns. As with everything, the more you
practice, especially with the more experienced dancers, the
quicker you will progress.
Experienced dancers please
note that if you choose to attend this workshop, cost is
still £6, there is no discount even if you attend the
higher level intermediate class. The session goes at the
pace relevant for beginners & improvers.
You will also be expected to dance with them in the free
style time & not just with each other!
