The Sir John Bayley Club is really easy to get to from junc
7/M54. Haygate Road is one of the main roads into
Wellington. Coming from junction 7, it is the first left
turn into Wellington, the Old Oreleton Hotel is on the
corner. If you come from the other direction, along the old
A5 or Holyhead Road, keep heading towards Shrewsbury, past
the Wickets & Red Lion pubs until you see the Old
Oreleton Hotel on the right then turn here into Haygate
Road. It is only a few minutes heading into town and If you
get to the T-junction you have gone too far!
The club is a large white building right opposite the
Haygate pub. The function room has it's own entrance on the
right hand side up the steps as you approach the building,
just by the car in the above photo. There is ample parking
with another huge car park behind the building.
BACK CAR PARK
If you have to park behind the club, you need to turn into
Simon Close cul-de-sac, which is to the left of the club as
you are looking at it. Go right to the end of Simon Close
as the car park is at the end on the right. Go into the
club via the back entrance. Follow the path down, into the
glass covered area, through the back door then go through
the front door, down the steps then up the other steps
opposite which takes you to the separate function room!
